19 Days and Still No Glasses: My Online Eyewear Nightmare! 😭
Let me share a truly terrible online shopping experience that I hope serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering purchasing glasses online. My old glasses broke, so on March 30th, I placed an order and paid for express 3-5 day shipping. What a mistake that was. Day 5 rolled around, and my order was still in production. Day 10, still stuck. By Day 11, I had to call them, desperately asking for a shipping refund. They processed it, almost as if they do it all the time, but now, even after getting my $10 back, these glasses are STILL projected to be 6 days out on delivery, meaning I'm looking at Day 19 or whatever, and still no glasses! This company is absolutely terrible, and it’s clear someone doesn't give a crap about their customers. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with their customer service because this level of incompetence is unacceptable.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling about order #[OrderNumber]. I placed it on March 30th and paid for express shipping, 3 to 5 days. It's now Day 11 and my order is still in production. What is going on?
CS Rep: I apologize for the significant delay with your order, sir/ma'am. Let me pull up your details. Yes, I see the express shipping charge. It appears there have been unforeseen production delays on this specific batch of frames.
Customer: Unforeseen? My old glasses are broken, that's why I paid for express! I need these glasses. This is ridiculous. Can I at least get my express shipping refunded? Because this is clearly not express.
CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration and the urgency of the situation. We can absolutely refund the express shipping fee for you right now, as you haven't received that service. I'm processing that $10 refund to your original payment method immediately.
Customer: Okay, thank you for that at least. But what about my glasses? When can I actually expect them? I was told they are still 6 days out on delivery even if they ship today.
CS Rep: Once they leave production, standard delivery will apply. While I can't guarantee an exact date due to the prior delays, we are pushing to get them shipped as quickly as possible. We will send you a tracking update the moment they leave our facility.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of unfulfilled promises and frustrating delays.
